Freestyle
At Star Dance Academy, its all about freedom to express yourself, our freestyle class is ever changing; we combine a variety of dance styles to teach a wide range of steps and movements to a range of artists music and genres, popular artists include; Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, Usher, Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls, High School Musical, Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Girls Aloud, S Club.
Our freestyle is funky, modern and fun. As well as letting loose on the dance floor we will teach you technical moves such as; break dance, body popping, body waving, moon walking and gliding!
Freestyle incorporates the following classes: Hip Hop and Street Jazz.
Tap
FUNK TAP – Miss Nina is an advocate of the American tap styles and teaches a “Funk/Jazz Tap” style. As well as the classical IDTA theatre branch Tap syllabus, pupils will learn freestyle Tap to modern music.
We pride ourselves on our modern twist to Tap dancing, but we also uphold the values of classical Tap dance and the technique required to master this style – there’s a lot to learn, but we make it fun!
Adult Classes
Mums and Dads – don’t be shy, we have arranged a special class just for you… at Star Dance Academy, we are regularly asked “what about the Adults” so we have arranged an Adult Dance Class!
It’s a fantastic way to get fit, have a giggle with like minded friends and altogether relax and “let your hair down”. Life shouldn’t always be taken so seriously, so come along and have some fun with Star Dance Academy
